Keeping busy toddlers occupied can be SO hard (especially during quarantine!!). Here are some EASY and cute activities and crafts that you can do with your little ones with objects you have already around the house!!
Easy Bird Feeders
Items you need:
- Toilet paper rolls (or paper towel rolls cut in half)
- Peanut Butter (or any nut butter)
- Bird seed
- Scissors
- String/yarn
Directions:
- Cut your string to a length of 12-18in
- Have your little one spread peanut butter on the entire toilet paper roll
- Either using their hands – messy alert!
- Using a kid friendly knife
- You can do it – cleanest option
- Place birdseed on a paper plate and have your little one roll the nut butter covered toilet paper roll into the seeds so they stick to the peanut butter
- Thread your pre-cut string through the middle of the roll and tie
- Take a walk and find the perfect tree to hang your feeder!
DIY Stamps- Apples or Sponges (or BOTH!)
Items you need:
- Apples
- Knife
- Construction paper
- Paint (or this one for more colors)
Directions:
- Cut your apple in half lengthwise (stem to end – resulting in a heart shape)
- Choose your paint color depending on your end craft
- Red – can be used to make lady bugs or hearts for Valentineâs Day
- Red/orange/yellow – can be used to make leaves on a fall tree
- Orange – pumpkins for Halloween
- Multiple colors – butterflies
- Use your imagination!
- Place the non-skin side of the apple in the paint of your choice and stamp on the paper!
You can make stamps by cutting shapes out of dry sponges and do the same process as above!
Tip: egg crates make great paint holders!

- Play!
If you want to add an extra layer of creativity you can find fun things to mix into the slime such as sprinkles, beads, confetti or sequins!
